Ashram Asian Elderly Day Centre

A social club for elderly local residents of Asian background.

On Mondays yoga classes are held for women only, costing £1 per session. These run from 10am - 11:30am.

On Wednesdays there are social gatherings with singing, prayers, talks on various topics, games such as bingo, and free vegetarian lunches. On religious holidays there are also parties with singing and traditional dancing. Gatherings are from 1pm - 3pm and there is an annual £10 membership fee, and then a 50p donation each Wednesday.

There are also regular day trips, and recent tours have included seaside trips, Cheddar Gorge, temples and roman baths. A week long holiday is arranged annually, last year they went caravanning in Snowdonia!

People with dementia are welcome to attend, especially for the parties!
