Afternoon tea held once a month on a Sunday afternoon at a volunteer host's home. Several groups of 6-8 older people are held in Lambeth and Southwark, where regular volunteer drivers are available to pick people up. The groups are particularly aimed at those aged 75+ who live alone.

Befriending services offer supportive, reliable relationships through volunteer befrienders to people who would otherwise be socially isolated.
For some people later in their life the cells in the brain that are related to mental ability become damaged, causing a gradual decrease in the ability to think and remember. When this happens it is referred to as dementia. Dementia is a non-specific illness syndrome (set of signs and symptoms) in which affected areas of cognition may be memory, attention, language, and problem solving.
Lunch Clubs are available to elderly people where they can eat a cut price healthy meal aswell as socialise with other people who attend,who may feel isolated and in need of company.Other activities may also take place at these clubs,so look further to find any local clubs of interest.
