BlindAid has over 175 years of experience of delivering emotional and practical support to blind and visually impaired people living in the 12 inner London Boroughs and the City of London.

Their enthusiastic team is dedicated to working alongside their Service Users offering friendly company and conversation as well as information and links to other useful organisations.   They aim to improve quality of life and to promote independence.

All their services are provided free of charge for their Service Users.

Services include:

- Home Visiting

-Telephone Support Service

-Welfare Rights support for their Service Users

-Long term loan of radio/audio equipment

-May offer grants to support independent living.

In January 2014, BlindAid launched our first Tri-Borough Community project, providing free classes in IT, Art & Craft, Cooking & Healthy eating and yoga for blind and visually impaired residents of Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham.  The project is based in the Southwark Resource Centre.  In 2015 we openeda second community project  based in Kensington and Chelsea. This provides the same classes and  is open to residents of RBKC, Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster
