Foodbank clients can bring their voucher issued by Clapham Park Foodbank to this foodbank centre where it can be redeemed for three days emergency food. Volunteers meet clients over a cup of tea or free hot meal and are able to signpost people to agencies able to solve the longer-term problem.
The Clapham Park foodbank also runs a rural delivery service, which takes emergency foodboxes to clients who are housebound and living in rural areas who are unable to get to a foodbank and a special request being made by their health care professionals.
Care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, CAB and police identify people in crisis and can issue people with a foodbank voucher.
All food given to the foodbank is donated by local individuals or ogranisations and is checked and packed by volunteers.
Services include: food voucher service, face-to-face contact, signposting, listening ears and Prayers on request.
