Age UK Lambeth Befriending Service

Age UK Lambeth Befriending Service logo

Our Befriending Service is for older people who may be socially isolated or feel lonely. Our main target client group are the 9,800 (40%) Lambeth residents aged over 55 who live alone but is open to all Lambeth residents aged 55 and over. We match each individual applicant with a suitable volunteer who visits their home for at least one hour a week to keep them company and have a chat.

All volunteers are required to undergo a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and will have their references checked.
