BETRA is a voluntary run tenants & residents association at Brayards Estate in Peckham, London.
BETRA objectives are:
-To promote Brayards Estate tenants' rights and the maintenance & improvement of their housing conditions, amenities and environment.
-Provide facilities for recreation & amenity to encourage community spirit.
-For the furtherance of these objectives to represent the interests of tenants in consultation with local authority & other bodies.
-To promote harmonious functioning of multiracial community & work toward the elimination of all forms of racism & discrimination within it.
-To endeavor to create a safer environment for all tenants & residents.

Our sub group "The Better Living Action Group" for the visually impaired, those with Learning Difficulties linked in with the organisation Keyring.
Mondays 11am to 1pm Coffee Mornings
Come and meet the group get involved with their creative activities or just sit and chat with a cup of tea or coffee.
On Thursdays there is visually impaired group and on Fridays members meet for prayer and Bible study.
The group is hoping to develop further its social groups.
There is also a community vegetable growing area, and community garden run by BETRA.
BETRA is a non profit organisation and any resident of Southwark or further can join "The Friends of BETRA" where they will receive notice of any get-togethers/meetings.
BETRA is looking for long term volunteers to help the management of BETRA office and Brayards green spaces.
BETRA shall also seek volunteers for community projects & events.
