Beyond Barriers

Beyond Barriers logo

Beyond Barriers is a Lottery funded mentoring project which will work specifically with identified hard to reach communities such as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT), Refugees and Black and Ethnic minority people.

Our goal is to provide support through mentoring to those who may be reluctant to use agencies or services and perhaps may not consider themselves as carers, even though they may be caring or have cared for an older person, a partner, adult or child with physical or learning disabilities or adults with mental health issues.

We aim to be a source of advice, emotional support and information on Carers' issues and the availability of services. With our ongoing training and support, our Volunteer Mentors will be a valuable support for carers living within the London Boroughs of Merton, Lambeth, Croydon, Sutton and Wandsworth, providing them with much needed advice and support.
