Darwin Court is a healthy living centre which is open to the public, and a housing scheme for the over-50s. This means that the local community can join residents in enjoying a range of health, fitness and relaxation activities.
These are either free to attend or offered at subsidised rates.
Facilities at Darwin Court include:
Swimming pool (depth 1.3m, length 15m)
Sessions for different groups: over 50s, women only, schools, parents with children under 5, as well as open public sessions. Swimming lessons can also be arranged for adults and children.
These include yoga, PAN disability water polo, Aqua fit, sewing, embroidery and crafts, chair-based exercises, line dancing stretch, women-only keep fit, Pilates, and Tai Chi. There are also over 50s billiards pool, games evenings and bingo sessions once a week. Darwin's Bistro Kitchen offers a varied menu of freshly cooked breakfasts and lunches.
